Troubleshooting CSR Harmony Driver Issues on Windows 7

I've been struggling to connect my CSR Harmony driver on Windows 7, and I'd like to document my experiences in hopes that it may help someone else who's facing similar issues.

After purchasing the device from NewEgg, I was surprised to find that there were no drivers included with the purchase. No CD or any files on the device itself. I tried to manually install them using the setup file provided by the manufacturer, but unfortunately, it didn't work out as expected.

I attempted to install the devices, rebooted my system, and hoped that Windows would detect the drivers from the folder where I placed them. However, I was met with an 'unknown peripheral device' problem, which seemed to be a major obstacle in getting things working.

In an effort to overcome this issue, I even tried using the Windows 7 Bluetooth drivers, but that didn't yield any positive results either. I searched online for various CSR Harmony drivers and downloaded several zip files from different sources, including this forum and other websites. Unfortunately, none of these attempts were successful in getting my device connected.

In Device Manager, I could only see the devices listed with a yellow exclamation mark, indicating that they were not recognized by Windows. As it turns out, the devices won't transmit or receive sound without the proper drivers, making it difficult to use them effectively.

One thing that's been puzzling me is why Windows 7 isn't detecting the device despite being listed as supported in the zip files I downloaded. NewEgg referred me to the client who sold the device, Cailine Legend, but unfortunately, they have yet to respond to my inquiry.
